Why Choose Our Cockatoo for Sale?

DNA Tested & Properly Weaned: Every cockatoo for sale in our aviary is DNA tested at around 5 weeks old, ensuring you know your bird’s exact sex and that it’s in excellent health from the start. Between 15 and 25 weeks, we carefully wean each young cockatoo onto a balanced pellet-based diet, so your new companion is strong, healthy, and ready to thrive in your home.

Hand Raised & Socialized: Our cockatoos are hand-raised by experienced caregivers who spend hours each day bonding with them. This early interaction makes a world of difference our birds grow up friendly, confident, and affectionate. Because cockatoos are naturally social and form strong emotional connections, our hands-on approach helps them adjust easily and bond deeply with their new families.

Exotic Origins: Native to Australia, New Guinea, and the Indonesian Islands, cockatoos are among the most striking parrots in the world. They’re listed under Appendix I of CITES, which highlights the need for responsible ownership and breeding. In captivity, a healthy cockatoo can live anywhere from 40 to 70 years, sometimes even longer with proper care making them truly lifelong companions.

Wide Variety of Species: We offer several stunning species and subspecies, including the Black Palm Cockatoo, Moluccan Cockatoo, Rose Breasted Cockatoo, Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Umbrella Cockatoo, and Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo. Each has its own personality and charm from the bold and talkative to the gentle and cuddly so you can choose the perfect match for your lifestyle.

Charming Personalities: Cockatoos are intelligent, affectionate, and full of character. They love to play, mimic sounds, and show affection to their favorite humans. Many owners describe them as “feathered comedians” who can brighten any home with their joyful energy and emotional depth.

Important Things to Know Before Bringing Home a Cockatoo

Socialization & Care: A well socialized cockatoo is a happy cockatoo. That’s why we put so much effort into early handling, gentle interaction, and proper care. The result? Confident, well adjusted birds that are eager to connect with you and your family for many years to come.

Speech & Sound: Cockatoos are expressive and vocal by nature. They’ll often call out to greet you, ask for attention, or simply express their excitement especially around sunrise and sunset. While some learn to say words or short phrases, it’s their personality and affection that win hearts more than their speech.

Health & Common Conditions: Like all parrots, cockatoos need regular vet checkups and a stimulating environment. Boredom can lead to issues such as feather plucking, particularly in species like the Moluccan. Maintaining a healthy diet and providing enrichment helps prevent problems like obesity, fatty liver disease, and psittacine beak and feather disease (PBFD).
